CP26E FSAE Rev2 Drivetrain Design
Updated 1/7/2026. In my second year as the Cal Poly Racing Formula SAE Electric Drivetrain Lead, I refined a previously successful drivetrain architecture developed for CP25E (see CP25E FSAE Drivetrain Structure Design). This iteration focused on improved structural performance, serviceability and modularity, and tighter integration with the full vehicle system. Drivetrain design and analysis were carried out using Siemens NX for CAD, ANSYS for structural and modal FEA, and MATLAB/Simulink for performance and load modeling.
